You are better than you know.

by Ronna Detrick on January 11, 2010

Today I went searching for someone else’s wisdom. It’s not that I don’t have my own to offer. I do. But sometimes it’s just helpful (and restful) to let another do the talking; to provide me and others words that speak poignantly, powerfully. Marianne Williamson offers me (and hopefully you) such this day.

Wherever you’ve been, and whatever you’ve done so far, your entire life was building up to this moment. Now is the time to burst forth into your greatness–a greatness you could never have achieved without going through exactly the things you’ve gone through. Everything you’ve experienced was grist for the mill by which you have become who you are. As low as you might have descended, in God there are no limits to how high you can go now. It is not too late. You are not too old. You are right on time. And you are better than you know.

(From The Age of Miracles)

You are better than you know. Mmmm. Love that!

Reminds me a lot of Thomas Edison’s, “If we all did the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves.”

I keep finding that the chain of thoughts informs the train of thought. From Kelly to Danielle to you to Marianne–all in one cup of coffee. Thanks

That’s a cup of coffee I want to drink! And it’s a privilege to be seen as poured into the same cup with both Kelly and Danielle. Thank you, Julianne!
