After a few technology issues (solved with the help and support of my amazing friend Cassandra Rae) here I am – not silent. Speaking! Out loud!
Not silent – literally! My 1st video blog!

Ronna–Ohh, this was so wonderful. I totally relate to those “ramifications” when I don’t speak my truth. Thank you for this huge important reminder for us, as women, to speak UP and speak OUT.
Thanks, Ana. Yes – ramifications and risks…hand in hand. Which is why relationships (a 3rd “R”) with other women matter so much! I’m grateful for so many other women in my life who have both spoken up and out – and invited me to the same!!! It matters!
“our voices matter.” if you said nothing but that, it would be enough. thank you for this beautiful audible post, and thank you for the thought-provoking comment you left over at my place last night. am off to meander through and read more here now.
Oooh. ‘Love that you’re meandering around…weaving your thoughts in and out of mine. Sewing them together. Making knots. All good!
Ronna it was a true pleasure to see and hear you here today. Your words are always powerful, but hearing your voice was more so, especially on this subject. Our voices do matter and some worlds are begging to be split apart.
Thank you!!! Yes – more and more worlds split open!!!
Oh, Ronna! THIS is wonderful! As you know, I have written much about how the writing process has allowed me to feel comfortable as I “use my voice” and your video blog speaks volumes to me!
Thank you for this ROAR!
Coral´s last blog ..A Reminder from President Ronald Reagan
My pleasure, Coral. Thanks for hearing me! A roar merits little, if not listened to!
whatta debut!
Thanks for the encouragement – months ago; now reality!
Thank you Ronna, this brought tears to my eyes, for the sake of my own wanting to break silence. Thank you for your kindness and reassurance and encouragement, and I love you for it.
I also want to say how much I love how you wrestle, lovingly and fiercely, with the Bible. As I am growing my own courage and my own voice, speaking with and to and about the Bible — the Torah — is one of the things I want to do, too. Thank you for that, too, for your love and earnest engagement with it, your genuine relationship with… her, actually, is the pronoun I want to use. (Torah is a feminine noun.)
My best,
Kol tov (all good),
Karen
You’re more than welcome Karen, of course. And your words, your hope, your articulation of both struggle and celebration – so beautiful. ‘Can’t wait to see how that’s spoken out; how silence is broken!
This article was very useful for a paper I am writing for my thesis.
Thanks

Hi Ronna:
I just listenes to this video you created and the topic of “silence”.
You are beautiful and just SUPER INSPIRING to me.
I will admit with complete honesty that I so want and desire for my inertenal being that wants to surface and to break free of being “silenced” by fear and terror. My voice has been “silenced” due to threats, physical pain, horrific memories and horric expereinces I have endured.
The blessing is in knowing that I WANT TO SPEAK, I want my voice to be heard, I want to communicate raw honesty and the Extravegant Truth. I am well aware that this is being rooted and growing and with a lot of excitemtn knowing it will come into blooming very soon.
So THANK YOU for speaking and creating this video that inspires me and offers me a deep sense of HOPE that one day my voice heart and soul will be heard and received.
Be Blessed, Be Inspired, Be Encouraged !!!
Always,
Barbarie
Thank you so much for this, Barbarie. And yes, yes, yes: in the midst of so much harm and ache, blessing longs to be seen, known, celebrated. Clearly she is blooming in your midst and making herself known to, in and through you. ‘Can’t wait to see what yet is birthed!
