Yesterday I blogged about how apparently even my body talks when I’m silent (which isn’t often). Today, because I’m exhausted after a night of little sleep, my blogging/speaking energy is low. In respite, I am going to stop speaking and listen to the voice of Henry David Thoreau…on silence.
Silence is the universal refuge, the sequel to all dull discourses and all foolish acts, a balm to our every chagrin, as welcome after satiety as after disappointment.
Mmmm. I’m taking refuge.
More speaking tomorrow.

Love this quote. I am not a huge fan of silence. It overwhelms me. I prefer the constant hum of background noise. But I know there is indeed a refuge in silence and I should learn to embrace it. Silence as sequel… Intriguing idea.
Aidan Donnelley Rowley´s last blog ..How Much Do You Weigh?
I know the feeling, Aidan, of wanting the constant noise, activity, and buzz. That’s what tells me I need the other – whether I like it or not. Silence as refuge feels foreign, but important.
Self renewal, self care and the opportunity to hear your inner voice is a blessing and should be treasured. So many women never ever get this..enjoy.
Desiree Adaway´s last blog ..My life is my message
Definitely a gift. Thanks for that reminder, Desiree.
