Back in January, I had a reading done for the year ahead. The amazing and beautiful woman with whom I sat offered me 12+ totems (animals) and 12+ crystals that signified particular meaning for each month. I talked about how powerful that was at the time; about this woman who trusted her intuition completely and spoke her mind unapologetically. It was beautiful.
It continues to be.
Today, September 1, I turned to what she’d envisioned for me this month. My totem? The crow.
I’ll admit: this isn’t my favorite bird. I’ll also admit: I may be persuaded to change my mind.
All sacred texts are under the protection of Crow.
The law which states that “all things are born of women” is signified by Crow.
Crow sees that the physical world and even the spiritual world, as humanity interprets them, are an illusion.
Crow merges light and darkness, seeing both inner and outer reality.
With Crow medicine, you speak in a powerful voice when addressing issues that for you seem out of harmony, out of balance, out of whack, or unjust.
And perhaps most profound:
You must put aside your fear of being a voice in the wilderness…
Be willing to walk your talk, speak your truth, know your life’s mission…
No doubt about it: I’ve been afraid to be a voice in the wilderness, all the while knowing that it’s my call. I’ve been afraid to walk my talk and speak my truth, all the while knowing it’s the very thing I’m most passionate about and consistently call others to.
I’ve talked enough about being afraid. I’ve talked enough about what I should be talking about, but am not.
I’m done.
Either I stop talking or I start using the voice I have to say what I need and want to say, what is only mine to say. It’s time to walk in faith, trust the feminine, and tell the truth. Where have I heard that before?
Either I walk the talk or I choose silence.
The thing I dislike about crows? Their incessant cawing. Silent, hardly? Apparently, they’re singing my tune.
Get ready. LOTS of crowing is on the way.

You’re a constant, Shawna. Thank you!
Always remember, you are not alone in this wilderness… there are many standing beside you, sharing their wisdom, speaking their truth, shining a light on that which needs to be seen. And, at the same time, no one else can say what you must say in the way you can say it.
Blessings, dear one.

Thank you, Julie – for both the reminder of beautiful companions and for the message that’s mine. ‘Appreciate you much!
Each of us crows our own message as we follow the circles of the path to the Infinite within.
Sending you butterflies. May your voice ring true on every step.
Hugs, too

The fear of what might be against us is only surpassed (and drowned out) by the affirmations of those who choose to hear what we are saying.
You’ve got the goods, and people are waiting. Kick that fear out of the way.
Powerfully, clearly stated. How we still the voice within, vs, standing in our truth. Fear vs Love.
Love the crow totem – it’s a powerful one. There is strong magic in the crow.
Say what you need to say. You are not alone. And people are listening.

Big thanks to each of you for your affirmations, your see-ing, your presence. I’m grateful.
