Converging Forces?

by Ronna Detrick on September 9, 2009

Have you ever noticed how sometimes, maybe even in the darkest of times, a couple of things come together that help you remember that good exists – and even wins? That happened for me today.

First, let me say, these aren’t the darkest of times for me – but that doesn’t mean they haven’t been tough. Relationship pain. Financial worry. Business ambivalence. Schedule stress. I could go on, but that’s enough…And – graciously, amazingly, stunningly, I get the following tweets today:

From @DanielleLaPorte: A real conversation is an extension of your soul. A real conversation can change everything.

From @coachbythesea: Conversations are not about the relationship, they are the relationship.

Here’s the convergence. I’m exactly 7 days away from launching my new website (which you’re currently reading), my new business (which you can see more about if you click on enough pages) and my out-loud hope for income production and frankly, salvation from having to go back to a 9-5 job! And what’s the name of my website/business/out-loud hope? RenegadeConversations. Two beautiful quotes from two renegade women on conversation? That’s divine, isn’t it? That’s grace. That’s a gift. That’s what I most needed today. Converging forces? Most definitely!

Keep watching for my launch – my official “coming out” party on 9/16. And keep watch for your own converging forces as I relish those that landed on my doorstep today.

Tonight, though the day has been far darker than I prefer, I’ll sit back, sip a glass of red wine, watch the season premiers of So You Think You Can Dance and Glee with my amazing daughters and rest – knowing that somewhere, somehow there are good, beautiful,  and converging things happening in my world.

RenegadeConversations…happening right in my midst. Amazing. Unprompted, unbidden, unaware – thank you, Danielle and Randi! You were my converging forces this day.
