Champagne Friday

Many of you know that I drink champagne on Friday’s. My friend and oh-so-amazing Fempreneur Coach, Cassandra Rae has had this tradition for a while now and totally has me hooked. She reminds me to sit back, to rest, and to say to myself, “It is enough. I have done enough. I am enough.”

That’s what I do. And in the midst, I am aware of just how much I can celebrate.

So, here’s what I’m celebrating as I sip champagne today:

  • Amazing conversations with Lianne Raymond, Danielle LaPorte, Dyana Valentine, Jen Louden, and Molly Gordon.
  • Dinner (yet tonight) with Kelly Diels and Amanda Farough.
  • Four new members in A Conversational Space.
  • Deep gratitude (and other’s affirmation) for A Conversational Space.
  • Lovely and humbling comments on this week’s blog posts.
  • Much celebration at the launch of Danielle’s Firestarter Sessions (and affiliate sales for me!)
  • The opportunity to guest-post with Sophie Lumen at Feed the Beauty.
  • New ideas generated for ongoing revenue opportunities and contexts for more great conversation.
  • Mother’s Day and MUCH gratitude for Emma and Abby, my own mother, and so many amazing women in my life.
  • One day where I saw zero emails in my Inbox.
  • A one-year reunion with my former “incubator” of women entrepreneurs who were with me when all of this began.
  • Three days of teaching on an Army installation; working with incredible young soldiers who are transitioning out of the military.
  • Much laughter and shared heart with one of my dearest friends, Andrea, and her absolutely adorable 4-year-old daughter, Emma.
  • Opportunity to catch up with another friend, Mary, who I rarely see these days.
  • A lovely and candid conversation with members of A Conversational Space.
  • Another newsletter created and sent – to more subscribers than the week before.
  • Turning the last page on The Dance of the Dissident Daughter.
  • Getting back to Women Who Run with the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes.
  • Two super-insightful dreams.
  • A venti Americano at Starbucks (thrilled I held myself to only one).
  • The increasing and irrefutable evidence that I am living the life I love (and believing that the money will follow).

Cheers!

What do you have to celebrate today?

Love the tradition! I keep a bottle of Spanish Cava in the fridge. No one but me, here at my house, will drink it so every day can be a celebration.

A fabulous tradition, in and of itself, Nicki. There is much to celebrate, isn’t there? I can be so easily consumed by all the things that feel non-celebratory and “not enough.” But the reality is, there’s far more of the good…And therefore, a good discipline for me, champagne or not…Cheers!

I am celebrating a decision to hit publish on the details of “Born Again: A Journey from Daughter of the Kingdom to Sacred Feminine Goddess”.
I am celebrating a Saturday of no “horse stuff” to do.
I am celebrating cool rain falling to nourish my newly planted garden (and agonizing that I probably put my tomatoes and peppers out too soon, but oh well…).
I am celebrating the discovery of soul sisters spanning a thousand miles in each direction.
I am celebrating the approaching transition from employed to independent.

Life is beautiful, joyful, and abundant.

Beautiful stuff, Angie. And your post this morning? Can’t wait for Part Two! All good – and brave – and truth-filled!

Enough’s a funny word. I wrote about enough last night. It’s like you live inside my head sometimes, Ronna! Today, I can celebrate a job well done with the middleness reached on many projects, an end-game in mind, and at least something resembling a start. I celebrate the sunshine. And I most certainly celebrate conversations.

Enough is a hard word, isn’t it? We rarely think we are enough. Or we think we are too much. Or we think we need do more. Or we think we’ve done too much – trying to fix things that aren’t ours. On it goes. The voices of others are the ones that most of the time tell me that I am enough. Now, while sipping champagne, I try to hear my own voice say the same.

And yes…much celebration for conversations had and more to come! Cheers!

Ronna,
Enough: Daughter picked up from airport & home from college briefly before her summer adventure in India. Spanish cava cold to celebrate husby’s last day of classes. A great coaching conversation with my book breakthrough mentors, Janet Goldstein and Elizabeth Marshall. Great reminder, Ronna.

Hmm, I think my New Dimensions calendar has a recent quote that fits: “Our most important experiences are not the great big ones that knock you down breathless and change your life forever. The most important experiences are the ones that we go through all the time. That’s really where we live our lives — in the most modest of details.” (From James Carse, author of The Silence of God)

“…in the most modest of details,” somehow so beautiful to ponder. What can you celebrate from those modest details?

R–I will send you a contact of a soldier who is creating a reintegration blog. Might be a good resource for the other part of your work…
Thanks for being here. Love being in your circle. XO

Much to celebrate, indeed. And you’re drinking Cava along with Nicki (who commented earlier). And the quote?!? Fantastic! Typing that one up and putting it on my fridge – and in my head/heart!!! Love that we’re in the same circle! Cheers!!

I am celebrating so many things!

A celebration tonight at my house in honor of those that are fighting cancer, remembering those that we have lost and raising funds and awareness for the fight to continue! Nothing like a house full of great women to make change happen!!

I celebrate being a part of a Conversational Space and Fire Starter Sessions – hopefully going to find time to “dig” in lots this weekend! I am so thrilled to realize all the possibilities that are just beginning to show themselves and being “around” inspiring women found here!

Excited about Five For Ten from @momalom! – writing and reading a ton of incredible blogs this week has added to my happiness and being ever so thankful to find so many kindred spirits!

Most of all, I celebrate life – breathing in and out, having each new day! I am so blessed to be surrounded by love, beauty and wisdom!

L.O.V.E. love it!
will adopt it as a way to celebrate the end of a week of work, a sense of accomplishment no matter what is undone, and to simply celebrate me and all that i have to be grateful for!
thanks
