a can’t-help-it moment

by Ronna Detrick on February 28, 2008

OK…I don’t think I’d normally be so self-promoting, but I can’t help it. I came home to find a manila envelope in the stack of today’s mail. Inside was a magazine and inside that was…drum roll, please…my article! The cover article! I have to say, it was quite exciting to see my name in the Table of Contents and then turn the page to see that the article was actually there!

It’s not a publication that many will come across, nor will it be syndicated in some fashion and make me instantly famous. It’s just a thrill to see my name in print, my picture on a glossy page, and my words (potentially) in the hands of others!

Maybe this is over the top, but if you’re interested, you can click here to open a .pdf of sample articles from this month’s issue of Fulfill magazine – which includes mine: The Comparison Trap.

I’ll stop now. Thanks for indulging my can’t-help-it moment to brag.

I read it Ronna :) Beautifully communicated and I could ‘hear’ your voice saying the words. I’ve learned a bit more today.

I discovered your blog last year, and fell in love with its freshness and honesty, so much so that I re-started writing regularly. Then I lost touch for awhile, and have rediscovered you again after reading your article in FullFill. Thanks for being willing to be courageous and write for others to read. You are inspirational! Keep it up!

Thanks so much, Diane. I always wish that I could just spend my time doing more writing. I love it – and am always so thrilled when I get the chance to “meet” someone who has enjoyed it/been impacted. May you know much encouragement in your own writing and life!
